b'Introducing Father Bob Jones, Assistant ProvincialBorn in 1976, Marianist Father Robert (Bob) Jones was raised in Indiana and holds a bachelors degree in mathematics fromUniversity of Dayton and a masters inpastoral ministry from Boston College. He admits that religious life was not inhis plans while a student with intentionsof teaching, but he ultimately felt called to dedicate himself to faith and spirituality while staying involved in education. From his Dayton experience, the Marianists felt like home and he appreciated theFather Robert (Bob) Jones, SM Societys commitment to education.I rely on [Marys] Fr. Bob professed first vows in 2007 and taught at Purcellguidance and maternal Marian High School in Cincinnati and Central Catholic High School in San Antonio. He made final vows in 2010 when hecare, remembering entered the Marianist International Seminary in Rome andthe words she spoke was ordained to the priesthood in 2015. He then returned toto the servants at Ohio to teach and minister at Chaminade Julienne CatholicCana: Do whatever High School in Dayton. For the past four years, Fr. Bob has served as chaplain forHe tells you.University of Dayton where he also coordinates a Camino de Santiago pilgrimage for university students. Through campus Father Bob Jones, SMministry, he shares his compassionate presence, commitment to prayer, and collaborative spirit with others. These qualities, coupled with his pastoral experience as an educator, hospital chaplain, and spiritualdirector, will help keep the Marianist Charism strong and inspire other young people to listen for and respond to their own calls from God. Many would agree that this is a pivotal time in the life of our provincethe number of vowed religious is decreasing, but our mission is more important than ever, Fr. Bob said.
