Please pray for Bros. Robert Jones, Andrew Kosmowski and Daniel Griffin (Province of Meribah), who are attending the Spirit of Saragossa retreat June 6 - 26 at Mount Saint John in Dayton in preparation for their perpetual vows. A special word of thanks to the Cupertino community in California and the Chaminade community (Province of Meribah), which have agreed to be the communities of prayer in support of the perpetual vow program. The perpetual vow retreat is based on the Spirit of Saragossa retreat program developed by the International Center for Marianist Formation. Marianists worldwide use the program to prepare for perpetual vows. The retreat focuses on a central Marianist belief: “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, born of a woman, that all who believe in Him may have eternal life.” Read an outline of the retreat.

In his introduction, Tiernan cited Bro. Bob as one of his most influential teachers during a difficult time in his youth. The concert was his way of giving back. Tiernan encouraged students to recognize the impact they have on others and to appreciate the time they have at Purcell Marian. Special guest Michele S. Jones, special assistant to the Secretary of Defense and White House liaison, also spoke to the students. During the celebration, Aspirant Brandon Paluch, a teacher at Purcell Marian, was congratulated by Al Early (PM president) for his outstanding service to the school. View more photos from the event.
