MUSP GRADUATE CREDITS PROGRAM FOR HIS SUCCESS

Jimmy McLeod was featured in May on the cover of The Obsidian magazine. |
Jimmy McLeod Jr., a 2006 graduate of the Marianist Urban Students Program at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, is a graduating senior at Bowling Green State University who will pursue a master’s degree at Loyola University in Chicago. Jimmy said MUSP was essential to his academic success. “It allowed me the opportunity to attend VASJ where I was provided with the resources necessary to advance,” said Jimmy. “It is important that inner-city kids be granted the opportunity to attend learning institutions where academics are not taken lightly and the students do not have outside distractions that many public schools have. The MUSP program relieves a huge portion of financial burden, but in the long term it provides much more than that. It diversifies the experiences of inner-city kids and places them in an environment where success is expected. Without MUSP I certainly would not be where I am now, and God only knows what road my life would have taken.”
