Pope Benedict XVI, arriving early for his scheduled visit to the U.S., attended the Provincial Council meeting of the Marianist Province of the U.S. March 31 to April 1 in St Louis. Among the topics discussed was the relocation of the Provincial headquarters to Maui. Pope Benedict said, "it's your call," but seemed in favor of the idea. Before leaving St. Louis, he requested 10 Chaminade coloring books. He also updated his contact information for FamilyOnline, his favorite religious order newsletter. "We were extremely grateful for Pope Benedict's presence," said Provincial Stephen Glodek, "and we hope he can take a joke!" Happy April Fools' Day!
