A BLESSED THANKSGIVING TO ALL…

Autumn ash trees at Mount St. John in Dayton. Photo by Bro. John Lemker

Thanksgiving is the holiday of peace, the celebration of work and the simple life ... a true folk-festival that speaks the poetry of the turn of the seasons, the beauty of seedtime and harvest, the ripe product of the year—and the deep, deep connection of all these things with God. - Ray Stannard Baker

Presidents and principals of Marianist schools from around the Province attended the Marianist School Administrators Conference Nov. 5 to Nov. 7 in St. Louis. The meeting was organized by the Province Office of Education. Presenters included Bro. He also reinforced the importance of ongoing dialogue in implementing a school’s mission. George Lisjak, office of education, discussed educating for service, change and peace and justice and presented statistical trends occurring in Marianist schools. Dave Ramey, a facilitator who has been working with the office of education, gathered feedback from the administrators on the Marianist Educational Consortium. Bro. John Habjan, office of education, provided an update on mission effectiveness and Mission Integration Teams.
