All members of the Provincial Council gave updates, and directors of three Province offices gave presentations: Diane Guerra, office of communications; Bro. Charles Johnson, office of vocations; and Myles McCabe, office of peace and justice. Provincial Stephen Glodek discussed the directions of the Provincial Council through 2010.

FIRE DISPLACES FINDLAY STREET COMMUNITY

Findlay Street community apartment building
An early morning fire on Oct. 6 destroyed one of the apartments in the building in which the Findlay Street community lives in Cincinnati. No one was injured in the fire, and there was little direct damage to the apartments belonging to the brothers. Until the building is deemed habitable again, the community is living with the Over-The-Rhine Franciscans at their Provincialate. Mail is being forwarded, but phone service is out until an alternative is found. For now, Bro. Bob Donovan (Cincinnati) is taking calls and forwarding information to the Findlay Street brothers. Our prayers for all who were affected by the fire.
