Jack Dempsey and Bob Flaherty |
Directors from communities
across the Province gathered Oct. 5 to Oct. 7 at Bergamo Center in
Dayton for the annual Directors’ Meeting.
Sr. Angela Ann Zukowski kicked off the weekend with an inspiring talk
on “Nurturing Mindfulness (Contemplation) Amidst a Culture of
Distraction.” In small groups, the directors reflected on questions
brought forth at the Assembly in Tucson: What in the Province is
on solid ground? What could get trampled underfoot? What should be
left
behind? All members of the Provincial Council gave updates, and directors
of three Province offices gave presentations: Diane Guerra, office
of communications; Bro. Charles Johnson, office of vocations; and Myles
McCabe, office of peace and justice. Provincial Stephen
Glodek discussed
the directions of the Provincial Council through 2010.

FIRE DISPLACES FINDLAY STREET COMMUNITY

Findlay
Street community apartment building |
An

with the Over-The-Rhine Franciscans at their Provincialate. Mail
is being forwarded, but phone service is out until an alternative
is found. For now, Bro. Bob Donovan (Cincinnati)
