COUNCIL APPOINTS NEW TEAM FOR DAYTON NOVITIATE

Fr. Mike Lisbeth

Bro. Mike O’Grady

The Provincial Council has appointed Fr. Mike Lisbeth director of novices and Bro. Mike O’Grady assistant director of novices, effective July 1, 2007. Fr. Mike is aspirancy director in Cleveland and pastoral minister at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School. Bro. Mike is the Province’s assistant for religious life.

“It is a significant sacrifice for the ministries in which these men currently serve,” said Provincial Stephen Glodek. “Their appointment is testimony to the importance that the Provincial Council attaches to novitiate formation for the future of the Province.”

The Province community offers heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Dave McGuigan, director of novices, and Bro. Tom Redmond, assistant director of novices, for their generous and excellent service for the past several years.

Fr. Mike, 58, professed first vows in 1969 and was ordained in 1980. He has a master’s degree in divinity and in social work and has served as a family and marriage therapist at Santa Maria Community Services in Cincinnati. He lives in the Marianist community on St. Clair Avenue in Cleveland.

Bro. Mike, 60, professed first vows in 1965 and earned a master’s degree in religious education. His first ministry was teaching religion at St. Joseph’s High School in Cleveland. Bro. Mike then worked in number of capacities at St. Aloysius parish in Cleveland for more than 20 years. He also served as vocation director for the former Cincinnati Province in the 1980s. Bro. Mike lives in the Lindell Boulevard community in St. Louis.
