The Marianist Province of the United States is proud to announce the appointment of Brother Ronald Overman to the University of Dayton. Brother Overman will serve as business manager of the university and he will assume this position on March 6, 2006. The Province community extends to Brother Ron its sincere congratulations on this appointment and deep gratitude for his able work and direction as director of the Marianist Mission these past eight years. He has held steady the rudder of the Mission through difficult days and through the merger of the U.S. Provinces in 2002. Brother Ron leaves the Mission for a new ministry very well suited to his considerable financial abilities and education. Bro. Ron’s responsibilities at the university will include work in coordinating business service areas, investments services and insurance services. Under the direction of Lisa Gooding, executive director of development, the administration of the Marianist Mission in Dayton, Ohio, is being restructured to position it as the national clearinghouse for development in the Province of the United States. There will continue to be a professed Marianist presence in the executive team of the Mission to help ensure the continuing infusion of our charism into the Marianist Mission messages, services and operations. The Provincial is in dialogue with qualified persons about their availability to assume this position.
