James Barhorst, 72, died Nov. 17, 2008, in Delray Beach, Fla. May he rest in peace. James was a former Marianist religious from the former Province of Cincinnati.   

Michael Birmingham, who died Jan. 11 in Canton, Ohio. Michael was the nephew of Bro. Bill Callahan (Alumni Hall, Dayton).

Doris Caruso, who died Jan. 1, 2009. May she rest in peace. Doris was the grandmother of Andrew Caruso, a Marianist contact.

Copp and O’Toole families who are coping with a family suicide. Intention submitted by Kevin O’Toole, counselor at St. John Vianney High School in St. Louis, through Fr. Tim Kenney.

Mildred Deitering, 80, who died Jan. 1, 2009. May she rest in peace. Mildred was the sister of Bro. Bill Deanhofer (Huntsville, Ohio).

Anne Rose Kotnik, who died Jan. 12, 2009. Anne was the sister of Fr. Jerry Chinchar (Stonemille-Kiefaber, Dayton).

Olga Martinuzzi, who died Jan. 7, 2009, in Gorizia, Italy. May she rest in peace. Olga was the aunt of Bro. Giancarlo Bonutti (DeSales Crossings, Cincinnati).

Larry Sandman, who died Jan. 5, 2009. Larry was a former member of the Province of the Pacific. Intention submitted by Bro. Tom Spring (Pohaku, Honolulu).

Palmira Uvietta, 104, who died on Jan. 6, 2009, in San Antonio. May she rest in peace. Palmira was the mother of Fr. Joe Uvietta (Curé of Ars, St. Louis). She was also a Marianist Affiliate and president and founding member of the Marianist Mothers of Texas. 

Erna Wethington, 92, who died Jan. 5, 2009, in St. Louis. May she rest in peace. Erna was a Marianist Affiliate and was the first female assistant to the provincial of the former St. Louis Province.  She worked for the province for over 28 years and worked at the General Administration in Rome at various times. 

Shirley Zampier, 79, who died Dec. 25, 2008, in Albany, N.Y. May she rest in peace. Shirley was the aunt of Bro. Brian Zampier (Marybrook, St. Louis).
