Housing Counselor Job Description

Purpose:

Provide support to residents to secure funding for rebuilding. Serve as a liaison between residents, funding agencies and building contractors. Provide assistance to the rebuilding team.

Major Duties:

1. Serve as an advocate to residents for rebuilding.
2. Provide technical assistance to residents to assist them with funding resources.
3. Serve as a liaison between residents, funding agencies and building contractors
4. Assist the rebuilding team as needed.

Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal skills and past experience in counseling. Knowledge of construction or building maintenance desired.
