God’s Amazing Race - Where Family Faith Is Cool!

The extreme challenges of an Arctic environment parallel the challenges families face striving to live their faith,

in everyday life. Christ gives us a model of faith & families will examine how to live like Christ in our modern world.

What is a CFL Summer Family Retreat Week?
It’s about strengthening family bonds through-out a week of Christ-centered activities, community building and playful recreation. The fun and relaxation of our beach frontliving are integrated through-out the Retreat theme. Along with our other themes of affirmation Communication, forgiveness and commitment, the families are strengthened and their spiritual development enhanced.

Retreats begin upon arrival Sunday and continue through to Friday afternoon.   As many as  23 families register for any given week and are guided, by our Marianist religious community www.marianist.com, and trained volunteer staff. The Eucharist and other family liturgies are complemented by presentations, skits, family sharing, peer group discussions and fun activities.  There is free time for our beach - so bring your favorite beach chair and boogie board!

Our island retreat center offers ocean view and family-friendly bedrooms.  Most have bunk beds, and all are complete with private bathroom and a/c controls.  Our dining hall serves healthy meals and snacks.  All join in community tasks, such as helping in the kitchen, cleanup after meals or other chores to help maintain our wonderful facility.
