May 18-20, 2007- ART as PRAYER Retreat Weekend

Ideal for the entire family – all ages and artistic ability.

Come to CFL to play quietly before the Lord with hands that spread color and draw shapes.

Each person who uses art to pray is unfailingly blessed. Bring a friend or your whole family for a unique bonding experience. This retreat is for men, women, girls and boys.

No artistic skill is required - all it takes is a desire to connect with a loving God. Material will be supplied. $125.00 per person for a single room. $100.00 per person for a shared room or family. Includes room (with private bath), meals and materials.

June 13-15, 2007 – Parenting Retreat Directed With Greta Morris

· Understand why children misbehave and what to do about it

· Developing the courage to do what is best for your children

· Maintaining authority without being an authoritarian

Long-time CFL’er Greta Morris will facilitation this Christian-focused program based on Kevin Leman’s book “Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours.” There will be activities for younger children to allow parents to attend discussion groups.

Don't worry that children never listen to you. Worry that they are always watching you.

With great love and skill we will have a newly completed kitchen off our Guardian Angel Room.

A world of thanks to Marc Oglesby, Tom and Janet Malechuk, Jim Rider and Jim Keck for working on installing cabinets and sink. The weather was ideal for a walk on the beach after moving cabinets and then giving them a custom fit for our ministry needs. And thanks to our own office staff member, Pat Willems and husband Ron, who are renovating their home kitchen, for donating the nice cabinetry, sink and oven!

Please consider joining our Maintenance Ministry – volunteer work weekends are free of charge and you’ll get to know some incredible people. For example:

· Did you know that long time CFL’ers Tom and Janet own an airplane repair service? Guardian Aviation Services, LLC is located in Siler City, NC 919-663-3503.

· Jim Keck and Jim Rider are avid Marathon runners. In fact, Jim Keck will be running a marathon mid April

· Marc Oglesby owns a sign company in Raleigh (and last month donated a wonderful new street sign)
