Africa & India – Partnering with the Poor

In Eastern Africa and India, the Marianists are committed to empowering the poor to break free of the cycle of poverty.

The Marianists operate schools, vocational training centers and human development ministries that make an enormous difference in the daily lives of the people they touch — and in the futures they will lead.

Please consider supporting the Marianists’ work in Eastern Africa and India.

Eastern Africa
In Kenya, Malawi and Zambia, the Marianists sponsor a primary school, two high schools, a parish and three job skills training centers for unemployable youth. The Marianists also support a family strengthening center and an empowerment center for single mothers in distress.

You can help the Marianists be Christ’s hands on earth!

India
In this country of 1.2 billion people, a third of the population lives on less than $2 a day. To empower the poor at the bottom of the Indian caste system, the Marianists sponsor five schools in rural areas. The Marianists also sponsor a parish, two vocational training centers for unemployable youth, and two rescue and education programs for street children.
