BROS. HUGO, NORMAN, MICHAEL AND BRANDON PROFESS FIRST VOWS

On June 23, Bros. Hugo Bastida, Norman Capinpin, Michael Chiuri and Brandon Paluch professed first vows during Mass at Queen of Apostles Chapel at Mount Saint John in Dayton. Provincial Marty Solma served as the main presider and received the vows. Concelebrants included Frs. Bill Meyer (Province assistant for religious life), Pat Tonry and Chris Wittmann (director of novices). Assistant Provincial Joe Kamis presented each newly professed brother with the Rule of Life of the Society of Mary. Fr. Pat delivered the homily, and Bro. Brian Halderman served as master of ceremonies. A reception and dinner followed at the Kennedy Union on the campus of the University of Dayton.

Bro. Hugo will join the Marianist Community in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with ministry at Colegio San José; Bro. Reinaldo Berríos will be his mentor. Bro. Norman will join the Hale Malia Community in Honolulu, with ministry at Saint Louis School; Fr. George Cerniglia will be his mentor. Bro. Michael will join the Eldersburg Community in Maryland, with ministry at Mother Seton Academy; Bro. Jesse O’Neill will be his mentor. Bro. Brandon will join the Stonemill-Kiefaber Community in Dayton, with ministry at the University of Dayton’s Fitz Center for Leadership in Community; Bro. Charlie Wanda will be his mentor.
