PRESIDENTS & PRINCIPALS GATHER FOR ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Presidents and principals of Marianist high schools and members of the Province’s Office of Education met in Cincinnati from Oct. 28 – Oct 30 for the annual School Administrators Conference.
The school administrators traveled to Purcell Marian High School for a tour and to celebrate an opening Mass presided by Provincial Marty Solma. The group also visited Archbishop Moeller High School for dinner and a tour.
The conference included presentations by Larry Keller on school culture and Marianist administration; Brian Reavey on the work of the Province Office of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation; Tony Fitzgerald andBro. Ed Brink on the work of the Sponsorship Task Force; and Fr. Jim Heft on his recent book, Catholic High Schools: Facing the New Realities. Prayer services and Masses for the conference were coordinated by Purcell Marian and Archbishop Moeller High Schools.
“The conference featured good prayer, conversations, input, shared experiences and networking – all grounded in the Marianist charism lived in our schools. It was full of graced moments,” said Fr. Larry Doersching,president of Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory in Hollywood, Fla.
